Forest Pathology and Dendrology
Welcome to the Forest Pathology & Dendrology Group of the ETH Zurich.
We are part of the Institute of Integrative Biology at the Department of Environmental Systems Science.
Our main research areas are fungi and fungal diseases in forest ecosystems and tree biology, addressing both management issues and fundamental questions. Besides field measurements and laboratory experiments, we increasingly use molecular genetic approaches. Our teaching aims to convey a holistic understanding of the structure and the diversity of woody plants and the role of diseases in forest ecosystem dynamics.
In addition, we provide topics and support for semesterprojects, bachelor- and mastertheses.
